People are just human, and by that I mean that we are born with one of the most complex neural nets yet encountered in the universe. You can see this sort of difference today with different societies viewing certain sorts of medical procedures or clothing choices as the mark of a "good" or "bad" person. Numerous societies throughout history have treated warfare in different ways, from ones that viewed it as a necessity of last resort to various that reveled in it. There is only good or evil by the standards of the society that you live in. There is no such thing as "objectively good" or "objectively evil".
